Winter Solstice Celebration
Saturday, December 22, 2007
The Winter Solstice has been an important annual milestone for
the farmer since the days of our earliest ancestors. The longest
night of the year harkens the lengthening of the days ahead and
a renewal of the cycle of life. Crane Creek Vineyards marked the
occasion with our first annual Winter Solstice Celebration.
Guests enjoyed Solstice-themed food like acorn-shaped ginger-
bread cookies and a giant lemon sun cake. Hot cider and
conversation could be found around the large bon fire. Wine-
maker Eric Seifarth thanked guests for coming and assured the
return of this wonderful gathering in 2008.

Vineyard regulars sip on our Mountain Harvest Red by the warmth of the bon fire.
